Colonial cities in Nicaragua
Granada and León are beautiful colonial cities in Nicaragua. Both towns are inviting for a nice walk, as all historic sights are within walking distance. In addition, Granada and León offer good excursion possibilities to nearby nature reserves.
Léon is a colonial city with a beautiful historic center, full of original colonial homes, beautiful churches and colorful parks and markets. At central park, you find the picturesque white cathedral with its signature square towers that certainly are worth climbing, allowing beautiful views of the city and its surroundings. On the nearby Pacific coast, there are a number of beautiful beaches, where you can surf, kayak, or just relax.
